OUR VISION

Our design for the church is rooted in the  desire to be saved, continually growing, and serving others. Love God, Love People. Serve God, Serve People.

OUR COMMUNITY

Our community is made up of people from all walks of life and of all ages. Please visit our Ministries page to learn more about what Club Creek has to offer.

Our History

Clubcreek New Life Community Baptist Church began as a vision from GOD to Pastor Ralph Mansfield Crowder in July of 1996. Pastor Crowder and a group of willing workers formed the Club Creek New Life Community Baptist Church based on God's Word and the lifelong motto of "We are committed to spreading the Gospel because there is New Life in Jesus Christ."

CNLCBC was officially started on July 5, 1996 in the home of Pastor Crowder at 8702 Lipan St. A charter for the new church was created with the help of the late Pastor Theodore Deaver of New Hope Baptist Church in Missouri City, TX. Members present and signing the charter that evening were Pastor Ralph M. Crowder, Sis. Selena Crowder, Rev. Harold Mears, Deacon Jeffrey Oscar, Sis. Reba Oscar and Sis. Genevia Williams-Jones. Mr. Kameron Kirkconnell, Pastor Crowder's supervisor at Interior Technologies, graciously allowed the first worship service to be held on July 7, 1996 in the Interior Technologies conference room.  The topic of the first sermon was "Your Fellowship in the Gospel", from Philippians 1:1-6.

On November 3, 1996, the church moved to its second location at 9630 Clarewood Dr., Suite A12. The church worshipped and spiritually matured at this location for the next 9 years. In February of 2005, after much prayer and trust in the LORD, the church purchased 1.96 acres of land at 8109 Creekbend Dr. for the building of a new sanctuary.

In September 2008, Hurricane Ike destroyed the Clarewood location and the church relocated to 8103 Creekbend Dr., Suite I, which was located next door to the land the church purchased in 2005.  The church remained in this location for approximately 2 years.

In 2010, after continued prayer, guidance and counsel from the LORD, Pastor Crowder spoke with Pastor James E. Blake of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church and arrangements were made for Clubcreek to hold services at Pilgrim Rest's Activity Center located at 3402 Amanda St. The move was made on July 1, 2010 and Club Creek progressively moved toward the completion of the Building Fund Campaign which would accomplish the construction of the new sanctuary on the property at 8109 Creekbend Dr.

On May 6, 2012, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new sanctuary was held on the church property on Creekbend Dr. Construction on the new sanctuary officially began in August.

On March 10, 2013, Clubcreek New Life Community Baptist Church was blessed to hold its first worship service in our new sanctuary at 8109 Creekbend Dr.

In April 2013, the church marked the dedication of the new sanctuary with a month-long  celebration. Special guests for the dedication celebration were Pastor J. Amos Jones and the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Sugar Land, Tx., Pastor James E. Blake and the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Theodore L. Deaver and the New Hope Baptist Church of Missouri City, Tx. and Pastor Gregg J. Patrick and the Southwest Community Christian Center ("The Bridge").

Today, 26 years after our founding, Clubcreek New Life Community Baptist Church remains a beacon of light and an oasis of hope in the Fondren Southwest community as well as the entire City of Houston.  We remain "committed to spreading the Gospel because there is New Life in Jesus Christ!"
